"This medium-deep garnet wine boasts a bright, elegant pomegranate and red plum fruit aroma with an edge of earth and spice. The texture is approachably silky and very fine, but there is enough substance to ensure a long life in the cellar. The grapes are from the lieux-dits Rouges de Bas and Quartiers de Nuits. The total owned by the domaine is one hectare, but they have let half of the Quartiers de Nuits to their cousin Pascal Mugneret. The sisters have destemmed the grapes and fermented them gently, and the wine is now ageing in cask (60% new)."

"As usual, a blend of Les Rouges du Bas and Les Quartiers de Nuits, the 2022 Echezeaux Grand Cru is broad and enveloping, bursting with aromas of dark cherries, raspberries, rose petals and spices. Medium to full-bodied, layered and textural, with a fleshy core of fruit, supple tannins and lively underlying acidity, it will offer a wide drinking window."

There is excellent verve and freshness on the palate of the sleek, refined and focused medium-bodied flavors that flash focused power on the dusty, compact and serious finale that makes clear that it is built-to-age.
