"The 2021 old vine bottling of Nuits St. Georges was showing beautifully at the time of my visit. The wine delivers a beautiful bouquet of red and black cherries, gamebird, dark soil tones, a touch of nutskin, woodsmoke and a deft framing of vanillin oak. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied, long and quite elegant in profile, with a fine core of fruit, good soil signature and grip, ripe tannins and impeccable balance on the complex finish. Fine juice."
