"The 2018 Clos de la Roche Grand Cru has a very heavy reduction on the nose that suppresses the fruit at present.  Returning after 10 minutes, that reduction has only slightly been dislodged (I try pouring between glasses to no avail.). The palate is actually promising.  Balanced, focused and quite intense, you have to appreciate the acidic spine and vibrancy.  Its crescendo and structure on the finish is worthy of a Grand Cru. I will keep the faith and trust that bottle age will serve it well - my score reflects my gut instinct."
