Domaine Drouhin represents the Drouhin family's vision of an Oregon estate winery that could rival the great vineyards of Burgundy.  Owned by the Drouhin family of Burgundy, the estate has an international reputation for excellence.  The Drouhin's influence on the Willamette Valley is legendary.  They founded Domaine Drouhin in 1987 and were the first wave of French wine pioneers in Oregon.  They create elegant, fine Pinot Noir and Chardonnay forged from their family's tradition of fine winemaking in France.  Drouhin's Oregon wines are internationally noted for their pure expression of fruit, superior balance, silky texture and classical elegance.  The wines have the capacity to improve gracefully with age.  Wine Advocate wrote, "Domaine Drouhin remains one of the standards against which other Oregon Pinot Noirs must be measured."  The 2022 Domaine Drouhin Oregon Pinot Noir is complex and layered with a lingering finish.   It's structured by dusty tannins and mouthwatering acidity.  This Pinot Noir is full of refined elegance.  It's perfumed and highly expressive with a bouquet of potpourri, rose water, wild raspberries, cherries and woodsmoke.  It's bright, full-bodied and focused.  On the palate, there are flavors of spiced cherries, tangerine peel, cranberry, forest floor, licorice and coffee.  This Pinot drinks beautifully now and will age gracefully in the cellar for another 8-10 years.  Enjoy!

James Suckling, 94 Points

"This is complex and layered, with spiced cherries, aged tangerine peel, crushed spices and nutshells. Some licorice notes. Medium- to full-bodied, structured and polished with a firm backbone of very fine tannins and earthy undertones. Lingering finish.

Wine Advocate, 94 Points

"The 2022 Pinot Noir Dundee Hills has pure, layered scents of cranberry, forest floor, licorice, bitters and tea leaves. The medium-bodied palate is concentrated and nuanced. It’s structured by dusty tannins and mouthwatering acidity and has a long, spicy finish."

Wine Enthusiast, 94 Points

"I've had several vintages of this wine and this is my favorite so far. Despite hitting 14.1% abv, it feels light on its feet, with a nice balance between gentle acidity and velvety tannins. Look for aromas and flavors of briary raspberries, graphite, earth and coffee with cream."

Jeb Dunnuck, 93+ Points

"A jeweled magenta/ruby color, the 2022 Pinot Noir Dundee Hills is perfumed and highly expressive, which is true to the vintage character as a whole. Bottled in December, it opens to a wonderful bouquet of potpourri, rose water, wild raspberries, grenadine, and fresh forest herbs. Medium-bodied, it’s full of refined elegance, with fine tannins and refreshing, ripe acidity. This really takes a page from the Burgundian side of their heritage. It’s beautiful now but will have a wide drinking window over the coming 8-10 years. I would love this wine any time.

John Gilman, 93 Points

"The 2022 Pinot Noir “regular” bottling from Domaine Drouhin is really a pretty young wine, coming in at 14.1 percent octane and offering up a lovely combination of sappiness and transparency. The very refined bouquet wafts from the glass in a mix of cherries, sweet beetroot, woodsmoke, gamebird, a lovely base of soil tones, a gentle hint of youthful stem tones and a deft framing of cedary oak. On the palate the wine is bright, full-bodied, focused and complex, with a lovely core of red fruit, fine soil inflection, fine-grained tannins and lovely balance and grip on the long and vibrant finish. This is going to be an excellent vintage for this iconic bottling of Oregon pinot noir, but it deserves some cellaring time to blossom properly."

Vinous, 93 Points

"The 2022 Pinot Noir Dundee Hills wafts up a delicately spicy blend of dusty black cherries, ground cloves and dried roses. It is round and supple yet lifted in feel, with crisp red berry fruits elevated by a core of zesty acidity as hints of sour citrus add cheek-puckering tension. This tapers off long and perfumed with a bed of crunchy tannins that frames the experience remarkably well. I would never guess that the 2022 hails from a warm vintage.

Wine Spectator, 93 Points

"An attractively built version, with a vibrant core of acidity and tannins framed by steely flavors of cherry and cranberry, all laced with crushed stone and black tea tones as this finishes with snappy tannins. Drink now through 2032."
