"The 2022 Meursault Les Boucheres 1er Cru has a well-defined bouquet, opening swirl-by-swirl with lanolin, hazelnut and faint touches of crushed stone. The palate is a little reductive on the entry, but there is fine tension throughout, with praline and toasted walnut notes towards the finish. It may lack some depth overall, though that would have upset the balance."
Winemaker Notes:
"The word "bouchot" in Burgundian means "bush" or "small grove". At the time, the presence of bushes was used to characterize the localities. In this one, which is one of the smallest in Meursault, the rock is so present that only bushes grow there, hence its name.
Our plot of chardonnay planted in the nineties, of 0.61 hectares, is located southwest of the village and faces southeast. The terroir is characterized by a steep slope and shallow soils where the rock is never very far away. The vines benefit from a clay-limestone soil, very steep and very stony, with blond soil."
