"The 2021 Cornas Reynard might be the wine of the vintage when all is said and done. Deep purple-hued, with gorgeous plum and cassis fruits, it hits the palate with medium-bodied richness, a layered, textured, concentrated mouthfeel, beautiful balance, and fine tannins. It's going to shine with 4-5 years of bottle age and, I suspect, have 15-20 years of overall longevity."
Winemaker Notes:
"Reynard" is crafted from Thierry's mature vines, undergoing whole-cluster fermentation before aging 24 months in oak. It's unfiltered/unfined nature gives it a dark, concentrated complexity versus the Chaillots and a signature smoky minerality coupled with deep fruit and spice. Its poise and finesse promise to evolve for many years to come."
Alcohol: 13.5%
