About the Winemaker:
"Keltom Roots winemaker, Brycen Hill's day job is Vineyard Operations Manager for Paul Hobbs/CrossBarn. So I think it's safe to say he's got his finger on the pulse and access to some of the very best fruit in wine country! His own tiny label focuses on single vineyard expressions of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay from hand-selected blocks in the Russian River Valley that Brycen thinks are truly special. This bottling, named "Morchella" is from the Lakeview Vineyard in Green Valley. These 20+ year old Dijon clones produce Pinot Noir that captures the true essence of the varietal with its complex and enchanting mix of seductive, floral, ripe fruit characters and it's deeper, more umami like earthy savory tones (hence the Morel connection). It's a captivating bottle of Pinot Noir that grows in the glass, and fantastic introduction to Brycen's wine."
