Winemaker Notes: 

"My first Cabernet Franc sourced over 2000 feet at Alder Springs west of Laytonville. The elevation allows more direct sunlight which eliminates pyrazines(the green notes common to the varietal when less ripe). The result is medium plus acid Cabernet Franc with and nothing other than gobs of red and purple fruit, coiled in a tight package with the pronounced minerality of the yellow shale of Alder Springs."
