"This is also sufficiently reduced to push the underlying fruit to the background. The palate impression of the medium weight flavors is notably finer and denser, while offering better depth and length on the balanced, dry and refreshing finale. This is lovely and a wine that should repay up to a decade of keeping yet drink well after only 4 to 5 years."

"The 2022 Puligny-Montrachet Village is the first release from the lower part of the slope and comes from a new fermage, matured in 350-liter barrels.  The steely bouquet is a little austere after the Meursault but nicely focused.  The palate is well-balanced with good weight and touches of bitter lemon and walnut towards the finish.  This marks a fine debut."
