Decanter, 96 Points

"The Méo-Camuzet Richebourg showed abundant, silky sweet fruit in the 2021 vintage, with notes of pomegranate and raspberry, a hint of mineral and some smoke. It is a very pretty wine on the initial attack, and the wine is balanced and elegant. Méo has switched his oak program up: he dries the staves for three years and uses light toast almost everywhere. The effect is very elegant, even if here I can’t help feeling that it lacks a bit of substance in comparison to previous vintages, and that it will be ready to drink sooner than some."

Jasper Morris, 95-97 Points

"Mid purple with a beautifully indulgent bouquet though suggesting a slight severity behind. The 2021 Meo-Camuzet Richebourg starts quietly but with intensity, then begins to open out nicely. Evidently much more to give and seems to combine the best qualities of both its Méo neighbours. High class wine! Drink from 2030-2040. Tasted Nov 2022.."

Wine Advocate, 95-97 Points

"The king of the cellar is the 2019 Richebourg Grand Cru, a full-bodied, multidimensional wine that evokes aromas of plums, sweet berry fruit, peonies, blood orange and Indian spices. Layered and concentrated, it's textural and enveloping, with an ample core of rich and perfumed fruit that almost entirely conceals its chassis of velvety structuring tannin."

Vinous, 95-97 Points

"The 2019 Richebourg Grand Cru has a well-defined bouquet that expands with aeration (in this case, while I talked with Jean-Nicolas Méo about jogging). Presenting a mixture of red and black fruit, crushed stone and hints of violet and iris, this is a multifaceted bouquet. The palate is medium-bodied and very different: much more structured, closed and dense. Méo mentioned how mercurial this Richebourg has been in recent days, and I reckon I caught it on a broody day. But there is firm grip and great length. A Richebourg that is beseeching people like me to leave it alone."

Wine Advocate, 93-95 Points

"The 2021 Richebourg Grand Cru wafts from the glass with aromas of cherries and sweet berries mingled with hints of rose petals, spices, vine smoke and toasty new oak. Full-bodied, rich and layered, it's fleshy and concentrated, with supple tannins, lively acids and a long, expansive finish.
