"The 2020 Savigny-lès-Beaune 1er Cru La Dominode (Domaine Louis Jadot) is excellent, offering up aromas of raspberries and plums mingled with sweet spices, woodsmoke and raw cocoa. Medium to full-bodied, velvety and concentrated, with lively acids and a long, penetrating finish, it's seamless and complete. It's another fine rendition of a cuvée that's regularly among the domaine's high points."

"With its steep slope and thin soils, the vineyard suffered drought stress in the heat of 2020. As a consequence, maturity was blocked for a time, but the skins eventually ripened to produce a wine with a lovely colour, a fragrant raspberry fruit character and a fresh, lilting feel on the palate. Jadot has 1.75ha in this sector of Savigny, also called Jarrons (although seldom labelled as such)." 

Winemaker Notes: 

"Bright red berry aromas and flavors lead this vivacious wine. It will develop in the bottle for 7 to 10 years.  This versatile red wine will pair well with light red or white meat dishes and fowl. The more mature wine will complement highly flavored sauces."
