Winemaker Notes: 

"Our Savigny-les-Beaune comes from the "les Fournaux" climat*, characterized by a deep and ferruginous ground. The wines are colored, elegant, quite powerful, marked by a dominant of Morello cherries, black currant, raspberry, then subsequently developing notes of undergrowth after some years. Savigny-les-Beaune is delicate with discreet tannins.  The premier cru comes from the upper part of this big parcel, the soil is poorer and less humid than the bottom part of the slope, classified village, the tannins are finer and they develop a longer presence in the mouth."
