But it is overshadowed next to the 2004 and 1999, lacking the precision and elegance of the best. Still, at 18 years, it has marvelous depth and a vibrant balance of fruit and spice. Perfectly mature, yet not tired, it shows the stature of the appellation. Tasted 1/31/2021."
