"This wine is Garnet colored goodness, mullied spices, confitured black strawberry rhubarb, lingonberry jam, frozen blueberries, grilled oranges, marsacapone and toasted walnut. Baby Lamb Chops, Guinea Hen, Branzino and Vegetable Tagine are some pairings for me. Drink now to 2033."
Winemaker Notes:
"The 2021 harvest began with a worried winemaker and fretful farmer due to an extreme water shortage – water is critical for the livelihood of vines and livestock as well as the go-to protection for frost and wildfires. Decisions were made for deficit irrigation in the vineyard and conservative water usage in the Creamery and Tasting Room to make it through the drought. As the wine will attest, and to everyone’s relief, our water conservation worked! Even with small crop yields, the fruit still maintained its signature “Anderson Valley” quality. This Pinot Noir is a deep ruby in the glass with an autumn bouquet aroma and flavors of black currant and tart cherry. Its youthful balance of acidity and delicate tannin does not disappoint for drinking now, though we anticipate this vintage to be a keeper for the cellar."
