About the Producer: 

"Florian Schuhmann is a quiet, reserved yet kinda snarky, wildly intelligent young Austrian who is tackling the oftmaligned Weinviertel, an area known in the U.S. largely as the home of cheap, bulk Grüner Veltliners. Yet in this hinterland (closer to Hungary than Vienna), he is crafting singular vinous expressions. Farming only a few hectares completely on his own, the winemaking is endlessly experimental yet, well, the wines are actually delicious. You want to drink them. So-named “Quantum” because the estate has no plans to grow any larger, quantities are never going to be more than a dollop of cases once a year, but we're happy to offer a few of his most interesting and delicious experiments."
