Albariño is a standout white wine that should be on everyone's radar.  If high-acid, fruit-driven white wines are what you reach for, then Albariño is for you.  These thirst-quenching wines are known for being delightfully refreshing and loved for their stone fruit flavors, citrus notes, a hint of salinity and zippy acidity.  They're bright, zesty and crisp - perfect for the warm summer weather.  For lovers of crisp Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc and aromatic whites, Albariño is a great alternative.  The vast majority of Albariño is produced in Spain, but its popularity in California is on the rise with grapes planted in Lodi, Napa, Sonoma and the Central Coast.  In fact, Albariño is one of Lodi's most important white wine varietals.  They produce more than a third of all the Albariño in California due to the fact that the grape grows so easily in Lodi's warm, dry climate.  Bokisch was one of the first to plant Albariño in California in 1998.  They make award-winning Spanish varietals from their own vineyards, staying true to their Catalan roots.  The Bokisch Albariño is picked earlier to mimic the style of Albariño from its native area of Galicia, Spain.  The 2022 Bokisch Terra Alta Vineyard Albariño is juicy and fruity with a touch of sea mist in the lingering finish.  The wine is bursting with flavors of pear, apple, grapefruit, lychee, honeysuckle, jasmine, Meyer lemon, mandarin orange and nectarine.  This is a delicious, food friendly white that invites you to take sip after sip.  Enjoy!
