"The 2016 Brut Cuvée Spéciale Montjolys is all precision, tension and energy, with that extra kick of exuberance that is so typical of this site. Tangerine peel, spice, lemon confit, pastry and dried flowers are all beautifully amplified in this resonant, super-expressive Blanc de Blancs. Soft contours and an exotic flair add to its undeniable allure. There's real palate presence and overall depth here. Gorgeous tropical overtones linger. This is such a classy wine. Dosage is 4 grams per liter. Disgorged: November 2023."

"Les Montjolys, a single vineyard in Le Mesnil with an unusually rich, silex soil, tends to be a fleshier, more immediate blanc de blancs than Les Chétillons, highlighting just how radical the subtle changes in soil profile can prove here. It's satin-smooth, with delicate blossom, orange citrus and creamy nut nuances through a medium-bodied palate of subtle, insistent build and persistence. Discreet, alluring and fragrant, it makes a fine counterpiece to Chétillon's nerve and tension."
