"The new release of Perpetual Reserve from Rhys Vineyards is from the base year of 2019, with forty percent of the blend from the reserve wine solera that was created for this bottling back in 2016. The vins clairs were fermented in a combination of older Burgundy casks and stainless steel, with some of the still wines not going through malo. The cépages is seventy-eight percent chardonnay and twenty-two percent pinot noir and the wine was aged two years sur latte and disgorged in June of 2022. Its finishing dosage was 3.3 grams per liter. The wine offers up a bright and complex nose of apple, pear, brioche, stony minerality and a topnote of white flowers. On the palate the wine is crisp, full-bodied, focused and nascently complex, with a fine core of fruit, elegant mousse and a long, well-balanced and classy finish. This is quite low dosage and minerally-infused on the backend. Fine juice that will age very gracefully."

"The NV (2019) Perpetual Reserve is a blend of vintages 2019 through 2016. Bright and airy in the glass, the Perpetual Reserve is all class. Lemon peel, white flower, white pepper, mint and chalk lend tons of nervous energy. There's plenty of depth and substance to back that all up and keep the wine from feeling austere. This is certainly impressive. Disgorged: June 2022."
