"A showcase blend of red and white grapes. 100% from Les Riceys’ varied plots, reflecting the enormous soft ripeness this warm village produces, balanced beautifully with the green, cut glass vinosity of the white grapes. A succulent Champagne, smiling with Côte des Bar pride. 80% Pinot Noir, 20% Pinot Blanc from eight parcels of Les Riceys. Certified organic. Dosage: 0-2 g/L."

"Olivier and Marie Horiôt farm their vines organically and their Métisse bottling is made from a blend of eighty percent pinot noir and twenty percent pinot blanc. This bottle is from the base year of 2015 and included twenty percent reserve wines in the cuvée. The wine is drinking beautifully today, offering up a complex nose of white peach, apple, rye bread, limestone minerality, dried flowers and a gently smoky topnote. On the palate the wine is crisp, full-bodied, focused and very well-balanced, with a fine core, elegant mousse and lovely backend minerality on the long and complex finish. A very impressive wine. (Drink between 2023-2035)."
About the Producer:
"The Horiot are one of the last families to produce the excellent Rose des Riceys. They are the only ones bottling not one but two single vineyard expressions of it.
Located in Les Riceys, the Olivier Horiot domain has belonged to the same family for several generations. Les Riceys is in fact the only village in the Champagne region permitted to produce both non-sparkling and sparkling wines. Since 1999, Olivier Horiot has made it his mission to bring back the region's seven indigenous grape varieties, producing cuvées coveted by both beginners and seasoned enthusiasts. Furthering its uniqueness, Les Riceys is the only one in Champagne to boast three appellations."
