"The sea, the boat and the fishing nets, the melancholy in the eyes of the fishermen returning to land, the perfume of typical delicacies of Le MARCHE, the strong and fearless personality of those who have spent their lives at sea and the bravery of those who have waited them back home: all this is in the air you breathe when you cross San Benedetto del Tronto, the city where Caffè del Marinaio was created, original name and recipe of the liquor later called Inspired by ponce, a typical drink of Italian coastal areas, usually drunk by sailors, that consists of moka coffee with Rhum and anise liquor, adding a cinnamon stick and orange peel at the very end to give a twist of sweetness to the flavour.”
