Distiller Notes: 

"Born in Kentucky and finished in Sonoma County, Hooker's House Bourbon pays tribute to Joseph "Fighting Joe" Hooker, an infamous Union General during the American Civil War. 

Made from a mashbill of 56% corn and 46% rye, Hooker's House Bourbon is aged for seven years in new, charred American oak barrels in Kentucky. After aging, Fred Groth, master distiller at Prohibition Spirits, transfers the bourbon at cask strength into used French pinot noir barrels sourced from the Schug Winery in Sonoma Valley. The pinot noir barrels are hand-selected by Michael Cox, the head winemaker at Schug Winery, based on the flavor profile of the previous year's vintage."

Tasting Notes: 

"Rye Bourbon finished in Pinot Noir barrels resulting in rich complex flavors of caramel, coffee, black cherry, vanilla and baking spices. A smooth and refined finish."
