Winemaker Notes: 

"The 2019 Sage is the second vintage of a wine celebrating the youngest grandchild of the Davis family, my son. A blend of 64% Cabernet Sauvignon, 28% Syrah, and 8% Merlot, this is a throwback for the Barn D’or fans. For those of you that haven’t had our Barn D’or project many years ago, think Penfold Grange. Dark and savory black fruit is wrapped in a deep herbal note from the blending of the Cabernet and the Merlot. The juiciness of the Merlot is felt at only 8%, which connects the fruit of the Cab and the softness of the Cote Rote style Syrah. This wine is soon to become a staple in our portfolio, for personal and palatal reasons!!"
