"A medium deep ruby. Quite backward on the nose, but then light yet fine aromatics start to emerge. The splendid taffeta texture from this vineyard, light raspberries, baby cherries, a little fine tannin, and impressive length. The fruit profile is quite ripe but the structure carries it very well. 13.5% Drink from 2028-2033. Tasted Nov 2024." 

Winemaker Notes: 

"Historically, one of the great sites for Pinot Noir in Chassagne, owned primarily by the Pillot family. From a 0.2 hectare parcel planted in 1978.  Aged 14 months in 228 L oak barrels, 50% new. Unfiltered."
