"Rich aromas of roasted coffee, baked cherry, pencil lead and sweet cinnamon dominate the nose of this full-bodied Bordeaux blend. The palate displays opulent tannin and layers of raspberry, blackberry, plum and roasted meat flavors that echo across the finish with a distinctive floral lift."
Winemakers Note:
"A 5-Star blend of 20% Montecillo Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Woolard Cabernet Sauvignon, 21% Stemech Petite Verdot, 21% Woolard Merlot and 18% Woolard Malbec was aged in French oak for 21 months (25% new), blended and bottled."
Tasting Notes:
"A saturated deep ruby/purple hue that glitters in the sun. A rich aroma of black fruit, cassis, mint, dark chocolate and subtle vanillan oak. Cocoa, mint, blackberries, herbs and vanilla explode on the palate and linger. The Dog Star shines down on this vintage."
Alcohol: 14.6%
