"The 2022 Puligny-Montrachet Clos de la Garenne 1er Cru has a more backward bouquet than the Garenne, though there is a little more nuance and terroir expression here. The palate is well-balanced with a silver bead of acidity and more mineralité than the La Garenne, but there is also more strictness and linearity on the finish. For Puligny diehards."

"Note: from a parcel owned by Domaine Duc de Magenta. A discreet application of wood sets off cool aromas of green fruit, crushed spices, acacia and carnation. The sleek, even glossy, and solidly concentrated medium weight flavors possess a fine bead of minerality and very fine length on the moderately dry and youthfully austere finale. This too could use a bit more depth but that should reasonably occur over time."
