"The 2021 Primitivo di Manduria Chidro impresses with a dark and brooding blend of dried black cherries, violet pastille, dark chocolate and mentholated herbs.  It’s silky smooth and energetic, with citrus-infused red and black fruits that slowly saturate toward the close.  The 2021 finishes long, potent and pleasantly bitter, leaving behind a caking of fine tannins as hints of licorice fade.  This is yet another wonderfully balanced Primitivo from Masseria Cuturi.  More producers in the region should follow this model." 

Winemaker Notes: 

"Intense deep ruby red.  Rich and complex notes of ripe red berries blueberry jam. Elegant spicy notes, with hints of tobacco leaves and cloves.  Rich and medium to full-bodied, with a very balanced fruity and spicy notes. Soft tannins and a fresh finishing of red fruits and jam."
