2021 LOLA Calistoga Dry Muscat

Winemaker Notes: 

"Our 2021 Dry Muscat is booming with bright tropical fruits like passionfruit, guava, and mango nectar. Bright acidity and freshness grip your palate while richness and complexity round out the mouth feel. Like our Malvasia Bianca and Dry Riesling, we use three different fermentation vessels (concrete, neutral oak, stainless steel) and leave about 30% of the grapes whole cluster during fermentation, which adds multiple layers of structure and natural tannin to the palate. This wine was also left on its naturally settled yeasts and lees throughout its 4 month elevage contributing to the finished wine's aromatics and complexity. It's really a stunning dry white wine and will be the perfect summertime sipper! 

We've had our eye on an old block of Orange Muscat for years and in 2021 the time finally came for us to be able to take over the 1.5 acre block. The vineyard was planted in the early 70's at the very northern crown of the Napa Valley, just north of Calistoga on Bennett Lane."
