Wine Advocate,
"Bursting with aromas of cherries, raspberries, espresso roast and peony, the 2019 Bourgogne Rouge is medium-bodied, lively and gourmand, with melting tannins and a fleshy core of fruit. Bertrand Chevillon reported yields some 50% below average in 2019 but was justly delighted with the quality of the wines. This is another powerful, structured vintage at this address, but the wines are more vibrant than the fine 2018s and more structurally refined, too. As I've written before, this is one of my favorite addresses in all of Burgundy. Old vines, cultivated soils, moderate yields and long fermentations with entirely destemmed grapes are the order of the day at this address, with the Nuits-Saint-Georges Vieilles Vignes seeing some 20% new oak and the premiers crus 30%. Nuits' Tonnellerie Sirugue is the dominant supplier of barrels."
Vinous,
"The 2019 Bourgogne Pinot Noir, taken from barrel because it undergoes a longer barrel maturation than many, has a generous, smudged strawberry and mulberry bouquet. The palate is medium-bodied with a sweet entry, and slightly confit-like, revealing brown spices toward the finish. Just looking for a little more tension here."
