"Aromas of plums and blackberries with hints of spices, dark chocolate and wet leaves. Medium- to full-bodied with fine, slightly chewy tannins and velvety texture. Concentrated and dark-fruited palate with some earthy notes to close. Drink or hold."

"Complex notes of black and red fruit combined with a resin balsamic aroma, cocoa and chocolate. Good body with round tannins, well- integrated acidity and a long, quite elegant finish.  Papa Figos is both an elegant and vibrant, classic, yet modern wine that accurately reflects the values of Casa Ferreirinha, the brand with the longest tradition in producing high quality Douro wines and one of the greatest references in the region."
