"I was able to taste two Syrahs. The 2020 Syrah Santa Barbara County has lots of peppery stems and floral aromatics as well as both red and black fruits, medium body, notes of violets, iron, and leather, ripe tannins, and a great finish. It reminds me of an old-school Saint-Joseph and will keep for a decade."
Winemaker Notes:
"The Santa Barbara County Syrah is hand-sorted, vinified with 35% whole clusters, and aged on its lees for 17 months in barrel. The wine is fresh, lively, and loaded with flavors of blackberries, dried herbs, bacon fat and lavender."
Alcohol: 13.2%
