"These 40-year-old vines, facing east, blossom freshly between 303 and 340 meters above sea level, on a hill opposite the Saint-Romain valley. The strong presence of limestone, as its name indicates, is the great characteristic of this climate. Minerality composes the matrix of this invigorating white wine which, when we close our eyes, reminds us of the fragrances of a torrent or of undergrowth after the rain. Its freshness, its elegance, its aromas of white flowers and wet stone seduce from its earliest youth. Let five to seven years pass and this Saint-Romain will offer you delicious aromas of grilled almonds and gunflint."
