"Made entirely from Zinfandel, this is a refreshingly light, bright and intentional wine, zippy, herbal and citrus-driven, with a fruity undercurrent of wild strawberry. Dry and pretty in pink color, it offers complexity within its undeniable appeal."

Tasting Notes:

"This Rockpile Rosé has a beautiful delicate copper rose pink color. Enticing aromas of candied wild strawberry, wet stone, and hints of crushed dried chamomile blossom. Bone dry and bright, flavors of minerality give way to hints of dried rose petal. Enjoy this wine over the next 12-18 months with lighter fare or while enjoying a picnic with family and friends!"

Winemaker Notes:

"For the 2019 vintage, our Rosé was made by whole-cluster pressing 100% Rockpile Zinfandel. This practice produces lightly colored and delicate wines. The Rosé juice is fermented entirely in stainless steel and has not gone through malolactic fermentation, preserving the bright, fresh, natural malic acid in the grapes."

About the Producer:

"Since 1868, six generations of the Mauritson family have grown grapes in the Dry Creek Valley. These 140 years of farming have crafted their winemaking philosophy; Great wine is made in the vineyard. Each harvest they reserve the best fruit from their 280 acres throughout the Dry Creek Valley, Alexander Valley and Rockpile appellations. This allows them to showcase the individuality of their incredible vineyard holdings by creating single-vineyard wines as well as wines distinctive of the appellations themselves."
