Tony Lombardi is wine industry famous, but unknown to the wider public.  He's been in the wine business his entire life and built up connections along the way.  His friends are the who's who of the wine world.  Lombardi was the brand manager for Kosta Brown during their rapid ascent to stardom.  In 2013, Tony and Christine Lombardi founded Lombardi Wines continuing a rich family history of wine, food and tradition.  They craft small lots of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir from the finest vineyards along the Sonoma Coast.  This is a small,  boutique winery with no tasting room and limited production.  Their wines are available on allocation to their mailing list a few times a year and a few select retailers.  The 2019 Lombardi Sonoma Coast Chardonnay is an impressive white wine with bright, citrus-driven layers.  It's balanced, rich, fleshy and medium-bodied with terrific purity of fruit.  It has bright acidity and a fresh, creamy finish.  This Chardonnay has aromas of green apple, lemon-lime citrus, orange blossom, honeysuckle and a hint of vanilla.  The palate is bursting with flavors of vibrant peach, melon, pear, tangerine, green apple, grapefruit, toast, crushed rock and spice.  The finish is crisp with a final wash of mouthwatering natural acidity.  Enjoy!

Wine Enthusiast, 94 Points

"With a touch of reduction, this impressive white opens slowly to unveil bright, citrus-driven layers of crushed rock, tangerine, green-apple and grapefruit flavors. Entirely barrel-fermented and aged in French oak, only 10% new, it holds its oak well, allowing the acidity to keep the wine balanced and fresh."

James Suckling, 92 Points

"Ripe apricots, peaches, lemons, pastries, custard and vanilla on the nose. It’s medium-to full-bodied with bright acidity and a fresh, creamy finish. Drink now."

Jeb Dunnuck, 90 Points

"Lots of pretty melon and peach-like fruits as well as spice and toasty notes emerge from the 2019 Chardonnay Sonoma Coast, a rich, fleshy, medium-bodied white with terrific purity of fruit and notable balance. Drink it over the coming couple of years."

Winemaker Notes:

"The 2019 Chardonnay shows beautiful aromas of layered green apple, lemon-lime citrus, orange blossom, honeysuckle and just a hint of vanilla.  This 2019 Sonoma Coast Chardonnay is star bright and offers layers of lifted and vibrant peach, pear, and tangerine flavors on the palate. The finish gradually turns crisp with a final wash of mouthwatering natural acidity."
