"Plump with personality and polish, this offers notes of blackberry, smoked meat and fruitcake spices that expand and flesh out on the long, savory finish. Drink now through 2030. 260 cases made."
Jeb Dunnuck, 93 Points
"The 2019 Zinfandel Iron Hill Vineyard brings more intensity, moving into purple fruits, with black raspberry preserve, vanilla, and lavender candy. The palate is full of more crushed purple flowers, cocoa powder, and a touch of blue fruit. Warming but balanced, it should be drunk over the next 6-8 years."
Winemaker Notes:
"This wine reminds me of a Northern Rhône Syrah, but with a hint of the Southern Rhône thrown in. The only way to understand this is to taste it. A dark ruby red nose leads to aromatics of red and black fruits, dark chocolate, lavender, toasted Rye bread and savory dried meats. On the palate this wine is rich and concentrated but balanced, showcasing how special this volcanic hillside amphitheater-shaped vineyard is."
Alcohol: 15.2%
