"The 2018 Rouge opens with a burst of sweet red and purplish fruit that is immediately alluring. Medium in body and silky, the 2018 impresses with its understated finesse and total class. The 2018 can be enjoyed today for its primary fruit, but I would prefer to cellar it for a few years to gain a bit more nuance. It is such a pretty and effusive wine. Bright acids and persistent tannins, both Gassac signatures, linger."

"The 2018 vintage was, like 2019, a warm one in which the Cabernet (76%) excelled. This dark but not quite opaque black-red wine has outstanding aromas: distinctive blackcurrant notes, but suffused by sweet southern breezes and a hint of pine and cade, offering a sense of purity but plushness and richness, too. On the palate, the wine is sweet yet pure and fresh enough to be mouthwatering, too, with the innate grain and complexity given by the vineyards and the inimitable blend. Light, stealthy tannins, as ever. A fine Mas de Daumas red with a long life ahead."
James Suckling, 92 Points
"A medium-to full-bodied red with aromas of cherries, plums, nutmeg and dried rosemary. Lavender, too. Juicy and round with creamy tannins and a flavorful, savory finish. Drink now or hold."
