Winemaker Notes:
"Planted on gravelly volcanic soils in 1944 Buddhas Dharma Vineyard is exceptional. Dry farmed organically at the base of Enlightenment Mountain just north of the City of Ten Thousand Buddhas in Mendocino county. The age of the vines and the farming practices give the fruit concentration and intensity that follows through in the wine.
Once grown throughout the state of California Chenin Blanc has become one of the rare white wine varieties. Fermented and aged in neutral French Oak barrels this complex wines has aromas of bees wax, crushed flowers and minerals. A rich mouth feel from extended sur lie aging give the wine a yeastiness that is complimented by flavors of apricot and honey."
