The grapes are fermented in stainless steel and undergo malolactic fermentation in barrique, before a 22-month aging period in small French oak (of which 75% is new). The wine is impeccably balanced and concentrated with dark, plummy fruit, spice, tar and savory tobacco. Caberlot is a distant relative of Cabernet, and you can tell as much as you contemplate the bouquet and full-bodied appearance of the mouthfeel of this warm vintage Tuscan red."
