"Monastrell is one of the classic Mediterranean grape varieties.  At Castillo del Baron, under the warm Spanish sun, it ripens perfectly to give deeply-colored, rich red wines loaded with soft berry fruit.  Yecla sits on a high plateau above the Mediterranean coast of Spain.  This wine was designed to be drunk young, for its smooth, ripe red fruit.  Try it on its own, even slightly chilled, or with spicy Latin or Asian cuisine."
