"A special cuvée was produced to honor Thierry Richoux's grandmother, who was born in 1912, the 2012 Irancy Ode à Odette was matured for three years in a new demi-muid and bottled without fining or filtration. Unwinding in the glass with a rich bouquet of dark chocolate, cassis, cherries and blood orange, it's full-bodied, velvety and layered, with striking depth and concentration, framed by powdery tannins and concluding with a long, penetrating finish. This is a serious Irancy that will need some time, but it's developing very well."
