About the Producer:
"Neal Martin described Federico Paternina in the Wine Advcoate as one of the Rioja's "stalwart estates". Federico Paternina established this winery in 1896 on a site featuring cellars dug in the 16th century in Ollauri, Rioja Alta. 1956 is an important year, as Paternina hosted a very distinguished figure: Ernest Hemingway. The legendary writer would visit the bodega several times and Paternina would become Hemingway's go-to Rioja. Hemingway´s love for Spain is widely known. He loved its culture, and of course, the delicious Paternina wines!"
