France may be its home, but Argentina made Malbec a star.  They produce the world's most succulent, fruit driven and beautifully balanced renditions.  This is hardly surprising as Argentina is one of the world's most exciting wine countries.  According to James Suckling they are "producing mind-blowing bottles of mineral and dynamic wines that are vibrant and solid with texture and structure".  They are also great value for your money.  Argentina has long been a great destination for top-value reds, and this Malbec is no exception!  Founded in 1997, Filus Winery crafts classic wines with the highest technology.  They produce excellent wines at great values.  The 2019 Filus Reserve Malbec is smooth with fine-grained tannins and a long finish.  It has notes of cherries, plums, blackberries, violet, chocolate, tobacco and coffee.  This Malbec is complex and elegant.  Enjoy!
