I know many of us lament the days when you could get a 15-year-old Knob Creek pick for $50. Even as the whiskey market was really heating up 10 years ago, people passed on them for a number of reasons. The biggest reason being they didn’t know what was in the bottle. Most thought it was just a dressed-up White label. I digress… No, this pick isn’t 15 years old, but it sure reminds me of those picks a decade ago and the price does, too, at just $59.99. If you’re a lover of straight, unadulterated bourbon, this is for you. A complex nose that runs the gamut of classic bourbon notes, and at 128.1 proof, you can really get your beak in the glass without fear of singeing your nose hairs. It has an amazing creamy mouth feel that's so hard to get with higher proofs as well as a long satisfying finish and, of course, that good ol’ Kentucky hug.
