Sonoma County White Wine

Some of the best white wine in California right now is coming out of Sonoma County—and below are a few of our favorites. White wines from Sonoma include varieties like Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Gris, but the most common varietal you will find is Chardonnay. Each white wine is distinct due to the many different microclimates and soil types which exist within Sonoma County. Although they vary, the best wines will display incredible balance and drinkability. While most white wine made in Sonoma is meant to be drunk young, there are certainly a few exceptions.

In general, the wines are great paired with a variety of cheeses and fish, but white wine also makes for a good drink all on its own. Below you can refine your search by the varietal, sub-region within Sonoma County, ratings, farming practice and even price range. On the wine pages you will descriptions of the white wine, including tasting notes, information from the winemaker and specifics.
