Bottle Barn Barrel Select 

Ladies and Gentlemen, we introduce to you the latest Bottle Barn Barrel Select. A 12-year, beautifully crafted Rye from our friends at Whistle Pig. This one was fun because we got to choose the finish for the final blend. Three different wine casks are used in the creation of Whistle Pig’s 12-year distillery release, and we got to tweak the recipe to our specifications. After several trials we landed on the perfect combination of 55% Madeira, 40% Sauterne and 5% Port casks. After blending these casks, the distillery let our barrel sit and “married” the flavors for an additional couple of months. What resulted is an incredibly smooth and delicious Rye!

On the nose: Caramel and baked apples. 

On the palate: Soft, smooth and just the right amount of sweetness. Subtle rye spice, crème brulee, some stone fruits. 

55% Madeira Casks, 40% Sauterne Casks, 5% Port Casks
