"Healthy dark red. Pure but reticent aromas of black cherry, dark chocolate and violet. Intensely flavored and sharply delineated, displaying terrific energy to its sappy flavors of blackberry, licorice and violet. Conveys an impression of strong acidity for the year, which the inclusion of some of the stems no doubt amplifies. Beautifully balanced Nuits-Saint-Georges with a firm tannic spine and lingering salty minerality. I'm not sure I would have identified this wine as a 2015."
