"The 2020 Aligoté Plantation 1902 underwent a particularly long 30-month gestation due to residual sugar having about in the vat.  It has a captivating nose, quite leery at first, with touches of nutmeg, smoke, grilled walnut and a noticeable reductive element.  The palate is very well-balanced with a taut line of acidity, tangy marmalade and mandarin notes, growing saline and citric toward the flor-tinged finish.  But the texture really enhances this Aligoté and the persistence of the aftertaste.  Superb."
