Its yields tend to be torturously low but this can create wines of exceptional intensity and flavor.  Experts love the region because of its rich, nuanced flavor.  Jumilla's wines, primarily its reds, are recognized worldwide and are frequently found on "best value" lists.  Jumilla specializes in the Monastrell varietal (known in France as Mourvedre).  Monastrell thrives in the heat of this region and produces wines that range from lively and fruity to stunningly complex.  Bodegas Luzón is one of Jumilla's most historic wineries and has been producing wines since the late 19th century.  It's widely regarded as one of the finest wineries in the region and is certified organic.  The 2020 Bodegas Luzón Verde is not just delicious, but an outstanding value.  It has aromas of ripe red fruit and floral tones.
