Winemaker Notes:

"The Campo Rotaliano is a well-demarcated geographical area, a sort of indentation of the Valle dell’Adige, wedged between the mountains. Its history and formation are linked to the Noce River, which for centuries has carried limestone, granite and porphyritic debris. Within this small plain, depending on the basic soil content, it is possible to differentiate micro zones that have been given different names by the winemakers. It is through gathering together the grapes of some of these micro zones, characterized by predominantly sandy soils and with different quality requirements that the “Foradori” is born."

About the Winery:

"The Foradori winery was founded in 1939 in Mezzolombardo, in the province of Trento. Elisabetta Foradori took over the company in 1984, after finishing her studies at the oenological school of S. Michele all'Adige. Driven by a strong passion and an unconditional love for their land, Elisabetta has made a name for herself since the beginning of recovering what is one of the oldest indigenous grape varieties of the area, the Teroldego, trying to develop ways to enhance this grapes, and therefore make it able to express the territory and its most sincere and genuine character. This mission went hand in hand with the search for natural viticulture and led, through mass selection, to the recognition of fifteen different biotypes of teroldego, the undisputed queen grape of the Campo Rotaliano.

Elisabetta's result was to obtain a grape with mineral, floral and spicy characteristics all together. Since 2002 agriculture has been totally converted to biodynamics. The hectares of vines are about 28, they develop between the Campo Rotaliano and the hills of Cognola and are planted, as well as with teroldego, also with crossing of manzoni and nosiola, also indigenous vines of Trentino.

Bottles in which all the best essence of the Trentino territory is enclosed, daughters of what is the deepest knowledge thanks to which we have come to grasp all the subtle differences present in nature, while also reaching the maximum preservation of the character of the fruit and the identity of the place of origin."
