The bouquet offers a little touch of sandalwood then a perfectly balanced intense concentration of fruit from the start on the palate right through to the end. So complete. It is a little richer than some years but all is perfectly in place. Some sweet plums as well as a lively dark raspberry."

More interesting are the super-sleek, intense and beautifully textured flavors that also possess highly sophisticated tannins and lovely intensity before culminating in a compact, firm and impeccably well-balanced finale that is presently quite austere. This will need to add depth with time in bottle but if it does, this might well be the class of these excellent Vosne 1ers in 2019."
