The Torres family is Spanish wine royalty.  They began producing wines in 1870, although their wine growing roots go back to the 16th century.  With 150 years of history and tradition, Torres is one of the most renowned producers in Spain and regarded as one of the world's most innovative wineries.  Even today, the winery remains family-owned and wholly independent with the fifth generation of the family at the helm.  Torres shot to international fame in the 1970s with their traditional wines.  They've been recognized year after year as Drinks International's "World's Most Admired Wine Brand".  Miguel A. Torres is one of the few Spanish wine producers to have been named Decanter's Man of the Year.  They produce amazing wines at fantastic values.  The 2017 Familia Torres Altos Ibericos Crianza is full-bodied with velvety, juicy tannins.  This Tempranillo is nicely structured with exquisite fruit.  It has notes of raspberry jam, green peppercorns, toasted bread, cherry, plum and tobacco.  It has a lively acidity and a flavorful finish.  Enjoy!
